Brighton Festival (creative events and entertainment)
This year marks 50 years of the Brighton Festival, a lively celebration of music, theatre, dance, circus, art, film, literature, debate and much more. It will take place in venues around Brighton, and over 150,000 visitors are expected to join in with the fun. You can too.

Brighton Marathon (sports)
Over 150,000 people are expected to watch this year's inspiring race and cheer on the runners, many of whom will be running to support a charity. The marathon takes place on the streets of Brighton and finishes on the beautiful seafront.

Krater Comedy Club (comedy)
Enjoy a night of award-winning comedy with top comedians from the UK and abroad. This fun event takes place every weekend at Komedia, in central Brighton.

Foodies Festival (food)
This three-day festival is the biggest celebration of food and drink in the UK. Each year top chefs gather to serve delicious and inviting food to hungry visitors on Hove Lawns, in Brighton and Hove.

Artists Open Houses (art)
Twice a year artists around Brighton open their houses and studios to give art lovers the opportunity to browse and buy original and unique jewellery, ceramics, textiles, paintings, sculpture, prints, photography and more.

Fashion Cities Africa (fashion)
Discover contemporary fashion from four cities in Africa – Casablanca in Morocco, Lagos in Nigeria, Nairobi in Kenya and Johannesburg in South Africa as part of a new exhibition at the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery

Brighton Fringe (creative events)
There are over 900 cabaret, comedy, theatre and dance events for you to choose from as part of Brighton Fringe, England's largest arts festival. It takes place every year around different locations in Brighton.

The Great Escape (music)
This festival is one of the best places to discover new and exciting music. Over 450 bands and artists will be performing at over 30 venues around Brighton, so this is your opportunity to find your new favourite band.
