Studying in the UK is a new experience, and living with other students is the best way to experience student life. You’ll be able to make new friends from around the world, settle into life at Sussex and enjoy everything the city of Brighton has to offer.

Options to suit you

University-managed accommodation is located on-campus and off-campus, in the residential areas of Brighton and Hove. All University-managed accommodation is allocated based on availability. If you secure University-managed accommodation all associated fees will be payable to the university.

On-campus accommodation

A variety of rooms are available on campus, in eight modern student residences: Brighthelm, Lewes Court, East Slope, Park Houses, Park Village, Stanmer Court, Swanborough and Northfield.  

  • Single and ensuite room options (standard rooms have a shared bathroom, en suite rooms have their own bathrooms)
  • Rooms have secure locks and include: bed, wardrobe and drawers, desk and chair, bookshelves and a mirror. They also have telephone and internet access
  • Located within a 10-minute walk away from the International Study Centre, academic buildings and facilities
  • Surrounded by beautiful countryside and walking distance away from campus restaurants, shops and cafés.

Off-campus accommodation

Living in Brighton is a great way to experience city life. Rooms in off-campus accommodation are located in shared flats and houses in Brighton and Hove. They benefit from excellent transport links to the University and the International Study Centre.

  • Modern and comfortable room options, with a shared kitchen and a bathroom
  • Rooms have secure door locks and include: bed, wardrobe and drawers, desk and chair, bookshelves and a mirror. They also have telephone and internet access
  • Kings Road flats are located on Brighton’s beautiful seafront, and some rooms have beautiful sea views
  • Houses are located in safe, residential areas of Brighton and Hove
  • Located close to everything the vibrant city of Brighton has to offer, including shops, restaurants, cafés, and the beach.

Study Group has partnered with Rivers Birtwell – a local private student accommodation provider. Through this partnership students will receive a room offer in exceptionally designed high specification student houses with a service tailored to their needs.

All properties offered from Rivers Birtwell portfolio are managed by Home James – designated established high street letting agent based in Hove. Home James has years of experience of managing a large portfolio of student specific rental property in the UK.

Rooms are located in private shared student houses located close to everything the vibrant city of Brighton has to offer, including shops, restaurants, cafés in Brighton with excellent transport links to the University and the International Study Centre.

Included features of the student houses:

  • Single rooms with a shared kitchen and a bathroom in a fully furnished student house, three quarter double bed, fitted desk with lamp, cork board and chair, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, hanging rail, bedside table, internet access
  • Modern kitchen space, range oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, tumble dryer
  • Spacious lounge with dining area, the ideal space to socialise with your house mates, relaxing in front of the television or over a home cooked meal
  • The sitting room has a flat screen TV with TV licence included in the rent. TV is connected to the internet and can be used for gaming or watching Netflix and Amazon.

How to book your accommodation

  1. Request your accommodation when you apply for your course at the International Study Centre*
  2. Confirm your place at the International Study Centre and make any payments that are due
  3. The Accommodation Team will contact you with a room offer, usually 4-6 weeks before the course starts
  4. Accept the room offer by following the confirmation steps. Please read the Terms & Conditions and cancellation policy carefully
