International Study Centre

New routes to science and engineering at University of Sussex

Posted 20 February 2018

We are delighted to announce that the University of Sussex International Study Centre is creating more opportunities for science and engineering students to join the University of Sussex.

The enhanced International Year One in Engineering is an exciting subject route for students looking for an undergraduate pathway to the University of Sussex. The programme, which will begin accepting students in September 2018, provides a route to the second year of undergraduate study in areas such as computer science, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or electrical and electronic engineering.

The Pre-Masters Programme in Science and Engineering provides a route for postgraduate students looking for entry into a Masters degree at the University of Sussex. This is the first postgraduate STEM programme for the International Study Centre. It opens up a wide range of new subjects with more than 20 progression degree options.

There are two pathways available:

  • Computing and Engineering
  • Life Sciences

Students can choose to study either a one or two semester programme, depending on their entry requirements. The module options on this programme allow students to focus on areas relevant to their chosen Masters degree.
